Our name is changing, but our mission is the same.....
Lungs for Life is changing our name to Cancer Free Lungs. There is a foundation in New York called Lungs for Life, which many of you may have come across in searching for our website. To prevent confusion and future legal problems with the name, we have decided now, while we're 'young', to change.
Throughout the next year we will be phasing out the name Lungs for Life. You may find a combination of the 2 names (Cancer Free Lungs for Life) on future correspondence and materials until we are certain everyone knows we have transitioned.
Don't worry, we will continue to carry out our mission to support lung cancer research, provide education to the public and most importantly to kids to prevent future victims of lung cancer. We will continue to raise awareness about lung cancer through our fundraising events.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to growing and changing with you.

What is Lungs for Life?
Lungs for Life is a 501(c)(3) charitable, not-for-profit organization
formed in March of 2004. Our mission is to reduce the burden of lung
cancer through education, prevention,
and research.
Education
Lungs for Life has developed a Tobacco Education Program to teach kids, age 11-18, about the hazards of smoking and tobacco use. Our goal is to visit every school in IN to educate and prevent future smokers. Click here for details of our program.

Prevention
Education is key to prevention. Lung cancer can largely be prevented by not smoking. Avoiding cigarettes or secondhand smoke is your best defense against lung cancer.
Research
In 2007 Lungs for Life donated $50,000 to a local research program. Since our beginning in 2004, we have donated over $100,000 to research. All proceeds from the annual Lungs for Life events support research and the Tobacco Education Program. |
